About our beef – and how to buy some!

Our certified, organically-raised and pastured 100% grass- fed beef is here!

Our cattle are raised on mother’s milk and pasture grasses only. No antibiotics, no hormones, no steroids, no grain. Just plenty of fresh air and sunshine. No fertilizers, no pesticides, no herbicides…are ever used on our lush pasture grasses.

This means that every time you experience the tender and tasty meat, you know exactly what you’re eating — 100% grass-fed heritage beef from Longhorn cattle. We raise Longhorn cows and — although their horns may seem intimidating — their beautiful coloring and gentle nature make them a joy to be around. Longhorns have roamed the south since early settlers brought these tough and heat tolerant cattle over from Spain. But after more ‘modern’ breeds were introduced from Europe and India, the Longhorns’ days seemed numbered. Forget about flavor — this new type of cattle had larger frames for more meat — and that’s why ranchers made the switch. As a result the Longhorns declined in popularity and are now on The Livestock Conservancy’s ‘Critical’ list.

But today, at Rosy Tomorrow’s Heritage Farm, our longhorns are free to roam. These formidable animals graze on a large variety of our pasture grasses, and thrive in Southwest Florida, being blessed with great health and disease resistance. We rotate them through our paddocks, providing constant access to fresh pasture, which also gives the land time to recover. The Longhorns’ naturally lean meat packs tons of flavor, and tons of health benefits too. For instance, meat from grass-fed animals has two to four times more omega-3 fatty acids than their grain-fed cousins. These omega-3s are called “good fats” because they play a vital role in every cell and system in your body. Research has found that people with a diet rich in omega-3s are less likely to suffer from things as varied as depression and schizophrenia to Alzheimer’s disease and heart attacks.
