Market Day Wednesday, April 29

April 29, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

This Wednesday we are thrilled to welcome News-Press reporter, Anne Reed to our farm from 10 AM until Noon. She’ll be making (and giving out samples!) of her now famous Panzanella prepared two ways: the traditional Italian Tuscan method with bread, and a gluten-free version with cannelloni beans. Both these recipes depend on using gorgeous rock-star tomatoes which Anne said she was delighted to find at our farm.

Please join us! You’ll find everything you need – including recipe cards – to make your own Panzanella at home. Anne is also going to use our fresh herbs to demonstrate how quickly herbs can change up the flavors in any dish.

New this week you’ll get to experience the wonderful synergy between gardener and chef. It’s what we’ve been dreaming of on this farm for such a long time. Chef Lauren Peterson and Head Gardener Kelsey Costa working together to provide you with the bounty of the season in the tastiest of ways. We’ll be starting slowly and this week we ease into it with delicious Rosemary Pound Cake with Rosemary Glacé and Orange-Mint Marigold Muffins with Poppy Seeds, and Super Power Balls, a nutrient dense, gluten-free morsel with Calendula petals that makes a perfect breakfast or post-workout snack.
